With more than 14 years of high technology sales, marketing and consulting
experience, Mark Richey founded and has grown Synchrony to its present size
of more than 130 employees in four cities. Prior to founding Synchrony,
Mark was district manager for Genesys Telecommunications Laboratories, where
he oversaw account teams selling computer technology integration services
and enterprise interaction management software. Mark was responsible for
sales in a four-state territory while at Genesys, and he developed and
managed business relationships with Convergys (formerly Matrixx
Marketing/Cincinnati Bell), Ford Motor Company and Procter & Gamble. Before
joining Genesys, Mark was responsible for alliance sales for Gain Technology
(a multimedia database company bought in 1992 by Sybase Inc.) where he
expanded reseller revenue by more than 1200 percent. Mark has held key
positions in most functional areas, including strategic planning, product
management, pricing and sales, for companies such as Siebel Systems,
Carlisle Systems Group, Insight Technology Corporation, Theodore Barry &
Associates, Digital Controls Corporation and Cincom Systems.
Mark earned a Bachelor of Science in systems analysis at Miami University
and holds a Master of Management degree from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate
School of Management, Northwestern University.
