Jill Dyché is a partner and co-founder of Baseline Consulting Group, the premier boutique consulting firm specializing in designing, building, and analyzing customer databases. As Vice President in charge of Baseline’s management consulting practice, Jill leads teams through front and back-end review of strategic technology initiatives, including data warehouse, database marketing, and CRM implementations.
Prior to co-founding Baseline, Jill was a consultant to the database industry, having worked for technology luminaries Teradata and Computer Associates. In the early 1990s, she worked for two years in France implementing one of Europe’s largest data warehouses. Returning to America in 1993, she helped grow Baseline from a tactical IT development company to a bona-fide management consulting firm featuring a range of industry and technology practices. Jill has helped develop customer information strategies at notables such as Verizon, American Express, and Toyota.
With an engaging style and a refreshing blend of irreverence and real-world experience, Jill takes on many of the sacred cows of e-business and database marketing. She speaks regularly at marketing and technology conferences including The Data Warehousing Institute, Women In Technology Summit, and DCI CRM Conferences, and has advised key technology vendors including IBM, NCR Teradata, Oracle, and Compaq. Her writings on technology and business have been featured in Information Week, EAI Journal, Oracle Magazine, DM Review, The Chicago Tribune, and The Washington Times.
Jill’s first book, e-Data: Turning Data Into Information With Data Warehousing (Addison Wesley, 2000) has been translated into Korean, Japanese, and Spanish. Her new book, The CRM Handbook (Addison Wesley), was published in August 2001 to wide acclaim. Women in Technology International recently profiled Jill as a “WITI Woman.”
