Gary is publisher of RealMarket Today! - the industry's premiere on-line publication tracking the latest trends in customer management technologies and strategies. In addition, he hosts a weekly Internet broadcast, focused on the most pressing topics and issues challenging customer-facing organizations. In 1997, he created the original CRM Stock Index tracking the financial health of the industry.
As a past contributing editor to Customer Support Management Magazine, Gary shares his views on customer management trends. His column won the American Society of Business Publication Editor’s national award for Best Regular Column, Contributed. He has contributed to industry journals and is quoted in industry and business publications. Gary has also been recognized by the editors of IT Support News Magazine as one of the top 25 professionals that have made an impact on the industry. He regularly speaks at industry conferences, seminars and user groups and provides advice to CRM and contact center solution providers. Five years ago, Gary launched the Users Choice Awards recognizing the “best-in-class" customer relationship products / services based on the judgments of the most important stakeholders - the people who must actually make the products work. In addition, Gary founded CRMAdvocate, a group of companies that share the vision of accelerating the maturity of customer management thought through education, awareness and example especially as it relates to success stories and case studies. Prior to RealMarket, Gary was Vice President of Marketing and Development for Software Artistry (acquired by IBM and subsequently sold to Peregrine Systems) and served as Worldwide Marketing Manager for Hewlett-Packard’s UNIX Computer Systems. He has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University. Gary serves as an advisor on various industry boards and serves on the Board of Trustees for the Children's Museum of Indianapolis. |
