David Hsieh is a co-founder of
FaceTime Communications. He
was an
entrepreneur-in-residence at
Institutional Venture Partners
(IVP). before co-founding
FaceTime.
Prior to IVP, David was Vice
President of Product Marketing
at Sybase and was responsible
for marketing Sybase's
enterprise products, including
the SQL Server System 11
database, data warehousing
products, Internet products, middle-ware products and systems
management products.
David was Vice President of Worldwide Marketing at LBMS, an
application development tools vendor, before joining Sybase. At
LBMS, David was responsible for marketing, product management
and business development. LBMS grew from $3M to $46M and an
IPO over a six year period and is still regarded as the market leader in
application development process management.
Before LBMS, David worked for Wang Laboratories and founded a
small startup providing turnkey applications for labor unions and
employee benefit plans.
David is a graduate of Northwestern University.
