As the Vice President of SAP's Global CRM Initiative, Darc Rasmussen is responsible for leading SAP's CRM business worldwide. His responsibilities include coordinating CRM activities across regions and between SAP's Development, Marketing, Communications and Field organizations. The SAP Global CRM Initiative was established in 2001 and under Darc’s leadership in January 2004, SAP achieved its goal to become the largest CRM applications provider worldwide.
Prior to leading SAP’s Global CRM Initiative, Rasmussen spent 12 months as the Vice President of Business Development for the Global CRM Initiative where his responsibilities included leading the Roll-in and Ramp-up of new CRM solutions, developing market driven product strategy, defining and developing a new product and ensuring its successful introduction to the market and into the mainstream of SAP's solution set. Rasmussen has 20 years experience in the enterprise applications market, the last eight of which have been focused on CRM. In the early 1990's Darc pioneered the development of SFA applications and customer analytics, delivering on the demand for customer insight that went beyond simple contact management. Based on experience gained from leading major project implementations Rasmussen recognized the need for a Customer Warehouse that collected key customer data and shared it with the Sales Force Automation and Marketing applications. |
