David Caruso has over twenty years of extensive, hands-on experience in the manufacturing software business. His myriad involvement includes product management, application development, marketing, and consulting focused on application architectures and functional design for both large and medium scale ERP solutions.
Before joining AMR Research, David worked with the application vendor side as vice president of business development at Pivotpoint, Inc., as vice president of marketing and product development at Visibility Inc., as a DBS Fellow at Dun & Bradstreet Software, as director of advanced manufacturing applications at Powersoft, and as director of application development at Cullinet Software. In each of these positions, David was responsible for guiding the strategic product and market planning. His efforts at Dun & Bradstreet afforded him numerous patent applications in the areas of workflow computing and distributed application design. In addition to his vendor experience, David also has a wealth of user side experience. He has held the position of manufacturing manager, as well as having led and consulted on many ERP implementations at companies such as Johnson & Johnson, Rolls-Royce, and Sun Microsystems. He has been an active APICS CPIM since 1978, and has served on the APICS Repetitive Manufacturing SIG where he assisted in the development of the Repetitive Manufacturing Workshop. |
