Christopher Hoffman is Worldwide Director of IDC’s IT Solutions Services Research. In this capacity Mr. Hoffman is responsible for a variety of research programs which include Software Support and Integration, Call Center Outsourcing, Customer Relationship Management, Supply Chain Management, Solution Integration Strategies and Enterprise Resource Management. Coverage within these programs include research and analysis of market size and definition, vendor service and solution offerings, competitive dynamics, service tools and technologies, end user perceptions and values, business opportunities and strategies, and market trend forecasts. Mr. Hoffman is considered one of the foremost industry analysts with respect to customer service and support strategy and technology solutions, and related initiatives. In this respect, he is quoted frequently in publications such as the Wall Street Journal, Investors Business Daily, and BusinessWeek and speaks frequently at conventions and industry events.
Before joining IDC, Mr. Hoffman was Founder and President of Strategic Planning Group, a management consulting firm which specialized in strategic planning and process consulting for the IT services, real estate, and manufacturing industries. He also was a Senior Director at Coopers and Lybrand, in the Emerging Business Services division, where he managed professional services engagements of private and publicly owned firms, and earned his CPA. Mr. Hoffman received his B.S. in Accounting, with a concentration in Management Information Systems, from Stonehill College in North Easton, MA. |
