Brian Roberts
Consultant
Peppers and Rogers Group

Brian Roberts brings 15 years of experience as a 1to1 consultant to Peppers and Rogers Group. His expertise in marketing, e-commerce and technology gives him an edge in helping clients develop profitable customer relationships.
 
Prior to joining Peppers and Rogers Group, Brian spent two years at The TM Group, an Internet development and marketing company, where he served as director of electronic marketing and commerce. As a consultant and speaker, he taught clients how to leverage the Web to build loyalty and enhance customer service.
 
Brian previously served Corning Inc. for nine years as a manager in sales, marketing and customer service operations. He led major process changes to improve internal knowledge management and increase customer retention. One of these improvements involved changing the focus of a national sales force from geography and products to customers, driven by groundbreaking segmentation and value-chain studies based on customer needs. Brian's efforts increased productivity and profitability for several business units.
 
Brian has a deep understanding of how marketing capabilities have been irrevocably enhanced by technology, especially email, the Internet, and customer databases. He developed the first Web sites for a Corning division, targeted to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology laboratory market. He also developed Corning's first database marketing programs, designed to educate fiber-optic telecommunications systems engineers. Additionally, Brian has experience in cable TV, data networking, consumer services, and business-to-business distribution industries.
 
Brian has an MBA in marketing and finance from Columbia University and a BA from the University of Chicago.
