Beatriz V. Infante, chairman, president, and chief executive officer, has
over 20 years' experience in creating and growing high-technology
businesses, with a track record of success at companies ranging from Oracle
to HP. She is the driving force behind Aspect's vision, strategy, market
direction, and commitment to service excellence. Ms. Infante leads Aspect's
executive team and oversees all business operations worldwide.
Ms. Infante joined Aspect in late 1998 as executive vice president of
Products and Services, and in 1999 was elected to the position of
co-president, providing operational direction and leadership for the
company's products, sales, services, and marketing functions. She became CEO
at the beginning of 2001.
Ms. Infante came to Aspect from Oracle, where she served in several
executive management roles over a period of five years. Infante ran Oracle's
worldwide Open Systems business units, representing over 70% of Oracle's
license revenue, and achieved revenue growth in excess of 50%. She also led
the acquisition of the Rdb business from Digital Equipment Corporation, and
was senior vice president of the Application Server Division, where she was
instrumental in creating and growing Oracle's Internet and eCommerce
initiatives and driving year-over-year revenue growth of nearly 90% in
Oracle's Application Server business.
Prior to Oracle, she was co-founder of Momenta Corporation, an early leader
in pen-based personal computers. From 1977 to 1989, she held engineering and
management positions at Hewlett-Packard, where she led the development of
the world's first end-to-end integrated processor design system, as well as
the integrated circuit development organization that designed many of HP's
high-volume processors.
Ms. Infante holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and computer
science from Princeton University and a master's degree in computer
engineering and computer science from the California Institute of
Technology. Ms. Infante is a member of the Silicon Valley Blue Ribbon Task
Force on Aviation Security and Technology, and as chair of the technology
sub-committee, is responsible for identifying technologies that will help
improve security at San Jose's airport as well as at others across the
nation. She currently serves on the board of directors of the Silicon Valley
Manufacturing Group, a consortium of Silicon Valley's most respected
employers, organized to work with local, regional, state, and federal
government officials to address major public policy issues affecting the
economic health and quality of life in Silicon Valley. Ms. Infante also
serves on the Advisory Board to the Princeton University School of
Engineering and Applied Sciences, consisting of some of the leading deans of
U.S. engineering schools and selected industry leaders who help refine
Princeton's 10-year roadmap for research, interdisciplinary programs, and
overall evolution of the university's engineering school.
