The CRMAdvocate Story
RealMarket, which owns CRMAdvocate was formed in 1995 as a market research firm for an infant CRM market. CRM was new, immature and continually changing and it became apparent that there was a need for CRM education and information so we quickly re-directed market research energies to become the definitive online source of CRM information concerning technologies, trends and strategies. For the last decade, CRMAdvocate and RealMarket have been industry leaders pioneering many new initiatives and have supported many industry advancements with contributions to leading publications, conferences, trade shows, initiatives and boards.

As we prepare to celebrate our ten year anniversary, we find ourselves asking, “What’s changed, and what’s next?” Reflecting on the last ten years, we can debate whether CRM has moved from infancy to adolescence or adulthood, but the CRM market has definitely matured. Over the years we have welcomed many new sources of good CRM information - many are valued partners. Given the increased volume of email, subscribers continue to have higher expectations for email newsletters that are easy to read and cover an even more comprehensive array of topics and issues. Readers also want a web site that allows them to research topics and sources on demand and webcasts that get to the heart of business issues, not merely “infomercials.”

New for 2005
In 2005, we recommit ourselves to the programs that loyal clients enjoy today and we also dedicate ourselves to new programs that will help us continue our leadership role. Specifically,

1 The RealMarket Today email publication has been relaunched with a more comprehensive charter and a new name, CRMAdvocate Today. Think of it as the front page of the Wall Street Journal consolidating everything CRM from over forty online and printed sources – a one-stop CRM portal delivered daily via email  (Subscribe).
2 The CRMAdvocate web site has expanded beyond it’s singular source of CRM success stories to become the most comprehensive source of CRM information in the world. The RealMarket web site will be a mirror image of the CRMAdvocate web site.
3 RealMarket Live webcasts keep the same winning format and formula under the new CRMAdvocate Live brand.
