ViryaNet Completes Private Placement of $2.2M The company has signed definitive agreements for a private placement of the Company's Ordinary Shares with Vertex Venture Capital Israel and FBR Infinity Venture Fund, as well as with a group of private investors. The closing of this investment is subject to the Company's shareholders' approval as presented in Item 6 of the Company's recent proxy filing for its annual shareholders' meeting scheduled for November 26, 2003.

SITEL Closes up Shop in Texas After seven years of operation, outsourcing teleservices firm Sitel is closing its Texas call center on Dec. 30, leaving 300 workers without jobs. Regional officials speculated that Sitel was closing the center because of loss of business as a result of the national do-not-call registry. SITEL said the registry had nothing to do with Sitel leaving the area.
