KPMG Report [Top] KPMG reports that the travel industry set to capitalise on CRM. According to an international report being launched November 13 at World Travel Market, over 80% of travel companies see CRM as key to the future success of their business. The report, 'CRM and the Global Travel Industry', commissioned by KPMG, showed that the travel industry sees CRM as central to the success of their business.
Hispanic Teleservices Partners With Key [Top] Equitex announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Key Financial Systems and Hispanic Teleservices have created a partnership to market credit cards to the United States Hispanic market. According to U.S. Census Bureau statistics and published reports from the University of Georgia, the U.S. Hispanic market constitutes a population of more than 32 million with a purchasing power of $452 billion.
Harte-Hanks Expands Alliance [Top] The Harte-Hanks Trillium Software division has expanded its Technology Alliance Initiative with the signing of three new international resellers. The Eniac Corporation of Venezuela, BlueDot Software of Switzerland, and IntoDQ of The Netherlands have agreed to distribute the Trillium Software System.
SITEL Project Wins Award [Top] SITEL announced that it won both the Telco Sector and Overall Teleperformance CRM Grand Prix 2001 award for service quality excellence in the German teleservices industry. SITEL won these telephone customer service awards while providing multilingual, multichannel services to customers of o.tel.o based in Germany.
Akamai Wins Award [Top] The customer support team at Akamai Technologies has been named Customer Support Team of the Year. Winners were selected by STI Knowledge’s Global Management Council and announced at STI’s Knowledge Center Symposium at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas on August 20.
