VERITAS, Oracle and Sun announced they have expanded their
global customer support alliance through the addition of
Joint Escalation Center engineers in the United Kingdom.
With current operations in Pleasanton, Calif., the JEC
provides customers with problem resolution and has
demonstrated the ability to cut customer time to
resolution nearly in half. The expansion of the JEC
fulfills part of the VERITAS, Oracle and Sun Initiative
announced in May and is intended to expedite problem
resolution for worldwide customers.

to Join Vignette [Top]
Artesia Technologies announced its support for and
inclusion in the eXtended Content Management Alliance that
has been launched to offer a solution to the challenges of
integrating leading content management systems within an
extended enterprise. The participants in the Vignette-led
alliance will work together to create integration and
implementation between their products in order to create a
solution that redefines the parameters of content
management to address the challenges.

Kana Communications announced that it has been selected by
KnowledgeBase Marketing as the backbone of its direct
marketing and CRM portal. As a provider of integrated

Marketing provides marketing and CRM products to both the
consumer and business-to-business sectors. The company
will implement Kana Service to automate all business
processes associated with delivering its direct marketing
products and services via iBASE.

Selects Rainmaker [Top]
Rainmaker Systems announced it has been chosen by 3Com to
sell and renew existing communication hardware service
contracts and rescue expired contracts. Rainmaker will
utilize its Contract Renewals Plus family of services for
3Com, leveraging a combination of staff, business
processes and technologies for the sale and renewal of
3Com service contracts.
NEON
Systems and PeopleSoft [Top]
NEON Systems and Subsystem Management software announced
an alliance with PeopleSoft to expand integration between
the PeopleSoft CRM solution and enterprise data,
applications, and business processes. PeopleSoft selected
the iWave Integrator product from NEON Systems to deploy
CRM solutions for eBusiness.

and Agillion Team [Top]
IBM and Agillion announced a partnership to help small and
growing businesses get online and use Web-based services
to strengthen customer service. The initiative is part of
IBM's ongoing program to partner with select online
business service providers to offer tailored Internet
solutions.
