Oracle and MiningXchange announced the launch of a live
and operational exchange to service the mining, oil and
mineral processing industry. The MiningXchange will enable
transactions between buyers and suppliers, better prices
and faster delivery.

Awarded Four Stars [Top]
Sage Software has been awarded the Software Technical
Assistance Recognition (STAR) Award from the SSPA. Sage
Software’s Customer Support Services team received the
STAR Award in the Sustained Performance category for the
second year in a row.

Secures $7.5 Million in Venture Funding [Top]
IslandData announced that it has secured $7.5 million in
funding from venture capitalists. The funds will be used
to expand the company’s business. Those investing in
IslandData include: MK Global Ventures, Whelan &
Gratny Capital Management, and PSINet.
BroadVision
and webMethods Partner [Top]
webMethods and BroadVision announced a partnership to
provide integration of BroadVision applications over the
Internet and into business systems of suppliers,
customers, and trading partners across the entire
e-commerce ecosystem. webMethods will allow BroadVision to
package the webMethods B2B BroadVision Adapter as part of
the BroadVision B2B Gateway product to enable enterprise
trade across BroadVision's e-business value chain.
Chapter
2 Deploys Aspect Portal [Top]
Aspect announced that Chapter 2 e-services has deployed
the Aspect Customer Relationship Portal as the foundation
of Chapter 2's CRM solution to monitor and enhance service
levels for Chapter 2 customers. The Aspect Customer
Relationship Portal blends telephone calls with e-mail,
fax and Web contacts into a common queue of customer
interaction; presents eCRM information to agent and
manager desktops; and integrates eCRM resources.
Semtor
and Vignette Team [Top]
Semtor recently joined forces with Vignette to develop and
deliver a web solution to the higher education
environment. This solution aims to help enable colleges
and universities to simplify the back-end maintenance of
their web site, allowing users to create and update web
pages and without technical expertise.
Wireless
Retail Selects Davox [Top]
Davox announced that Wireless Retail has selected Davox's
Ensemble customer contact suite for use in its in-store
kiosks and contact centers. Ensemble allows Wireless
Retail's contact center to act as the focal point of
customer interactions by incorporating inbound call
handling, outbound call management, browser-based desktop
automation, and custom reporting.
Wonderware
Joins Siebel Alliance Program [Top]
Wonderware announced that it has joined the Siebel
Alliance Program as a Premier Software Partner. As part of
its alliance with Siebel Systems, Wonderware will develop
and offer interfaces from its Protean ERP software to
Siebel eBusiness Applications.
