and eshare Announce VoIP [Top]
HearMe and eshare communications announced an agreement
under which eshare has licensed HearMe's VoIP technology
for integration with NetAgent. eshare will expand its
customer care offerings by extending to its corporate
customers the opportunity to provide to end users PC-to-PC
and PC-to-phone live voice communication.

CRM Conference in LA [Top]

permission-based targeted electronic direct marketing

company is using Kana Connect to implement its EDM
campaigns and is also taking advantage of Kana's (ASP)

CosmoCom
Secures $40 Million [Top]
CosmoCom announced that the company has closed a round of
$40 million in additional private equity financing.
First-time investors include the Intel Communications
Fund, Marconi Ventures and Technology Crossover Ventures.
This round of funding will help enable the company to
position its technology in next generation, IP Contact
Center Platforms.

Recognizes Foodline [Top]
SpeechWorks announced at its user group conference that
Foodline is the winner of its annual SpeechWorks Here Best
Practices Competition. The award recognizes Foodline's
success in introducing a speech application based on its
online restaurant and food information guides.

Group Survey [Top]
A recent survey conducted by ICT Group, polled e-commerce
executives to evaluate customer service. When asked to
rate their own customer service, 50 percent of e-commerce
companies responded that they provide
"excellent" service. When asked to rate other
e-commerce companies, however, this number decreased to 14
percent. This shows a real need to improve e-commerce
customer care.

RoweCom announced that it has selected Onyx to provide a
CRM solution for its global marketing, sales, and client
service organizations. The company chose Onyx's solution
because of its functionality, interface, and
implementation time.
Maximal
and TopINET Join [Top]
Maximal Innovative Intelligence announced that it has
partnered with TopINET. TopINET has integrated Maximal's
Max data analysis tool into its TopDiag business
intelligence solution. Max allows managers to analyze
data, such as revenue or profit by department, product
category or individual product; to conduct ticket
(purchase) analysis; and to spot problems.
