Selects Motive [Top]
Motive announced that 3Com is offering Internet-based
service powered by Motive to its Network Interface Card
(NIC) customers as the 3Com Connection Assistant. 3Com and
Motive have entered into an agreement under which Motive's
intelligent service technology will be built directly into
3Com's NICs to provide full-service support to end users.

Selects ViryaNet [Top]
ViryaNet announced that CAL-AIR has selected ViryaNet
Service Hub to transition its service business to the
Internet, increase the productivity and responsiveness of
its field service organization, and deliver Internet-based
customer service.
ServicePower
Alliance Program [Top]
ServicePower announced its Software Alliance Program at the
second annual Field Enterprise Solutions 2001 conference.
The Software Alliance Program is geared to speeding up the
implementation process for ServicePower customers, enabling
them to realize a faster return on investment.
Applix
Partners With Scribe [Top]
Applix announced an alliance with Scribe to leverage its
Demand Chain Collaboration technology for integration
between Applix iCRM software and ERP applications, such as
SAP, J.D. Edwards, Great Plains, Solomon, Oracle Financials,
Lawson and PeopleSoft. Applix customers will have CRM
solutions that capture information from corners of their
extended enterprise, enabling response to changing customer
and business dynamics.

Oracle announced that companies that currently take
advantage of Oracle's content management capabilities within
Oracle9i, will continue to reap the benefits of managing all
corporate content within a central repository by taking
advantage of new feature enhancements, which were announced.
Customers that use Oracle's content management features can
manage applications, from Web sites and customer
relationship management applications to industry-specific
solutions, while also minimizing software and infrastructure
costs.
SSPA
Europe To Host Amsterdam Executive [Top]
The SSPA and the SSPA Europe announced that the next SSPA
Europe Executive Forum, November 8-9, 2001, will be held at
Amsterdam Marriott Hotel in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. The
Executive Forum is designed as a series of forums where
executives can gain insight into how other European service
and support centers are dealing with some of the hottest
issues of the day.
MicroStrategy
7 Receives Award [Top]
MicroStrategy announced that PC Magazine, a Ziff Davis Media
publication, selected MicroStrategy 7 as its Editors' Choice
in a review of business intelligence software by PC
Magazine's Steven S. Ross. MicroStrategy 7outperformed its
competition and was given the highest rating of four stars
in this report, which included Cognos Business Intelligence
Platform, Brio Enterprise 6.2.2, and Crystal Enterprise 8.0,
each of which received a 3- star rating.
