US Retail Banks To Lavish $1.4bn On Revamping Traditional Branches Already underway in Europe, US banks are set to drastically transform their branches in a bid to increase customer lifetime value and stem attrition. According to independent market analyst Datamonitor (DTM.L), branches will be turned into financial centers for high-value sales and advice. The report, 'Branch Renewal in US Retail Banking', estimates approximately 30,000 (26%) US bank branches will be renewed by 2006. For the customer, branch renewal is likely to transform the traditional banking experience.
Sabre Holdings With Infravio Infravio announced that Sabre Holdings has selected Infravio Ensemble 4.0, the company’s Web Services Management suite, to use as a major building block for the Sabre Holdings Web Services program and their overall services management strategy. Sabre Holdings’ new Web Services management platform is bringing service consumers, providers, marketing, and sales teams together. The metadata driven consumer portal provides tools for shopping, registering, and implementing services.
etalk Names New VP etalk Corporation announced the appointment of Rusty Coleman, an industry veteran with more than 23 years of experience in the telecommunications and contact center industry, to the position of vice president, worldwide sales. In his new role, Coleman will oversee the day-to-day operations of the company's global sales and field services organization, focusing on developing and expanding the company’s current customer base.
